Ending violence against women, step by step

By Erika narkiewicz | Digital Fundraiser

Despite the restrictions and struggles of the pandemic, our partners continue to expand their network and effect change at all levels of society, to work towards ending violence against women:

"To prevent violence against women and children, our network met on 27th February 2021 with a number of agencies, including a police inspector, an Advocate, GP, Counselor, and Childline members. Equally importantly, children participated where possible too.

We ran awareness sessions on gender roles, discrimination and violence on women through games and exercises. Elsewhere, 45 people attended these sessions and in Northern India, 65 men attended and gave positive feedback on the role of men in eradicating violence against women.

Overall during February, a series of network events were run with great participation from agencies and men in the community. Hundreds of community members attended and the eradication of violence against women was taken seriously. Through education and working together, we are effecting change across organisations, institutions and our communities."

Thank you for supporting us in this work.
