Prime Trust conducts general medical camp at Rettanai village – 02.09.2023

Conducting a general medical camp can have several benefits, both for the community and for healthcare providers. Medical camps provide access to healthcare services for individuals who may not have easy access to healthcare facilities due to geographical, financial, or logistical barriers. This helps in reaching underserved populations. Regular medical check-ups at camps can help in the early detection of diseases and conditions. Medical camps often include health education sessions where healthcare providers can educate participants about preventive measures, healthy lifestyles, and disease management. This empowers individuals to take better care of their health.

On 02.09.2023 Prime Trust along with Vel dental clinic, Agarwal eye hospital and i med hospital conducted a general health camp at a church in Rettanai village. The imed hospital team from Tindivanam provided general health check-up – blood pressure, blood glucose level and other ailments were treated. The people were provided with medicines. The Vel dental team provided dental check-up, basic treatment and oral health care education was provided. The Agarwal eye team did the screening for auto reflation, refractive error and colour vision, power correction for distance vision & near vision. They provided counselling for cataract surgeries, Glaucoma surgeries and refractive surgeries. For further treatments the people were referred to local health care centres. About 120 individuals were benefitted from the camp.
