Mary Open Doors is excited about the opportunity to raise funds to purchase the property used over the last seven years to shelter women and their families. We are pleased to share a copy of the sales agreement along with a copy of the Certificate of Land Title for the land where the shelter is located.
The Sales Agreement and Certificate of Land Title provides our community of donors with evidence that the organization is serious about its goal to purchase the shelter. The work of providing safe shelter can be daunting. We've hosted anywhere from one family totalling a mother and child to four families for a total of 15 or more persons.
Our survivors spends anywhere from one night to three to six months. Mary Open Doors offer flexible sheltering as we know it takes a lot of love and support for women and their children to gain the confidence needed to successfully transition to a life of independence, free from abuse.
Statistic shows that it takes up to seven visits to a shelter before a woman finally makes the decision to break free. Mary Open Doors core values are grounded in strong family values and every woman and child who access the shelter becomes a lifelong family member of Mary Open Doors. We are here to support our survivors long after they have moved on. They know they can count on us to be there to support them as the need arises.
Please feel free to contact us if you want to learn more about the work we do at maryopendoors@gmail.com.
We remain grateful to our donors for their generosity and continued support.
