Imran, a resident of Cattle Colony in Karachi, works as an accountant in a private company.
One night, Imran experienced a sharp pain in the left side of his chest and complained to his wife. At 11:30pm, a call was received at the Aman Ambulance Command and Control Centre. At 11:38pm, the ambulance had reached the destination.
He had suffered multiple heart attacks, a cardiac arrest, and had very slim chances of survival. He spent 17 days on a ventilator and suffered severe memory loss. “If it were not for the Aman Ambulance arriving within 8 minutes, and me being given proper emergency medical care on way to the hospital, I would not be here”, he says.
“Life can be like a tunnel. Dark with no hope but sometimes, one sees light at the toughest turn. And for me, the light at the end of the tunnel was Aman”.
Aman Foundation has 11 Advanced Cardiac Life Support Ambulances and has completed over 100,000 life-saving interventions in 2016. Our ambulances are equipped with the latest life-saving medical technology along with highly trained pre-hospital care staff.
Currently we operate a fleet of 65+ ambulances in Karachi. It is through your donations that we are able to improve and expand the outreach of emergency medical support throughout Karachi, and we at Aman would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all our patrons who made this possible. With your continued support, we will be able to expand our network to effectively serve the population of 20 million people living in Karachi.
