Dear PEPY friends and community,
Thank you for your incredibly generous donation to our Dream Management Project at Varin High School. Your support has enabled us to continue our program and allows us to provide workshops and services to our students. We are pleased to share some recent updates and highlights this past quarter made possible by you.
In the last quarter, the Dream team managed to make great progress in their classes and conducted several successful events. Across our three partner schools, we have maintained over 945 regular Dream class attendees from grades 10-12, and an average class attendance above 70%.
The Dream team organized four Dream Talks for the students this quarter connecting them to uplifting speakers who either formerly attended their high school or are PEPY scholars. We also conducted a Sharing Event at Sen Sok High School bringing in Cambodian leaders and change-makers to share their stories at a school-wide event reaching 215 participants!
Through your help, in the Dream Class at Varin High School, our students received 12 Dream topics this quarter. For the students and team, the time management session was a standout activity. The students found it to be a very useful and enjoyable topic because they had the opportunity to build their schedules and present their ideas to their peers. They always appreciate how we make the sessions interactive but felt that time management is a very relevant challenge for them. In Varin, the students are also preparing to participate in our Debate and Public Speaking contests. They received lessons from our Dream officers and our Dream teacher partners to build their confidence, practice their speeches, and work on their body language. We look forward to them having a chance to challenge and motivate themselves in the competitions next quarter.
We invite you to read our Varin Dream report for more detailed updates.

Before you go- we have an inspiring community story we would love to share with you:
Salinh is an outstanding Grade 11 student at Kralanh High School. She is the youngest of two and lives with her mother since her father is a monk. When Salinh was in Grade 5, she dropped out of school and went to work in Thailand with her mother for five years due to her family’s difficult financial situation. She missed her friends and wanted to return to school, so she begged her mother to let her return home and continue her studies. Her mother relented so she returned to school and lived with her sisters.
In early 2021, Salinh enrolled in Dream Class because she wanted to improve her attitude and become more courageous and confident. After attending Dream Class for almost two years, she believes that she has improved in her speaking, attitude, leadership, her ability to share her feelings, and her respect and value for others. Salinh said, “Before, I was not like that because I did not like to share, did not listen to and value the opinions of others, and I was stubborn. But now I am not like before. I am happy with what I have now.”
She thanked the school and Dream Class for allowing her to transform herself and become a new person. Salinh now has a new favorite quote she likes to share. It is “Do not look at yesterday or imagine tomorrow; do what you have today and do it better to enjoy what you are doing.”
