Bangladesh is grappling with a severe road accident crisis. Daily, hundreds are injured, and countless lives are lost. In response to this urgent humanitarian issue, PATHWAY has initiated efforts to support road accident victims.
Last December, we intervened in a case where a critically injured individual was denied treatment due to financial constraints. Through swift action and negotiated hospital discounts, we ensured comprehensive medical care. Today, the patient is on the road to recovery.
In January, we assisted another victim, an amputee in dire need of a wheelchair. Unable to afford one, they faced significant challenges in daily life. We provided the necessary wheelchair, alleviating their suffering.
While these cases highlight the impact of our work, the scale of the problem necessitates broader support. We are committed to helping more victims but require increased funding and resources. We call upon the public to join us in this endeavor to provide relief and support to those affected by road accidents.
