''I want to become a leader in the settlement so that I can Advocate for the rights of refugee women and girls here in Adjumani'' Dominica.
Dominica is one of the 45 women who have enrolled for our three months Integrated Functional Adult Literacy (FAL) Program that not only teaches literacy and numeracy skills but also teaches aspeacts of leadership, Womens Rights, Environment, Parenting and Hygiene among others. 90% of the program participants have never gone to school or dropped out of school early. Majority unable to express themselves yet with a strong passion to lead.
Like Dominica, we have seen all the 45 women improve on their literacy and numeracy skills with majority able to write their names and simple letters. They are confident and are now able to express themselves in public.
