Dear Supporter,
Thank you for your continued support of children and families affected by the war in Ukraine. Your generosity is helping provide practical assistance, care, and opportunities for vulnerable children to feel safe, supported, and valued.
This summer, children supported by our partners enjoyed activities that brought friendship, creativity, and moments of normality amidst the ongoing conflict. For children like Maria, whose daily life has been shaped by air raid sirens and fear, these opportunities are invaluable. Maria worries constantly about the safety of her family and instinctively hides when she hears drones overhead. At a summer camp organised by our partner Children's Hearts, she was able to spend time with other children, take part in activities, express herself creatively, and simply enjoy being a child again. For a little while, fear gave way to joy.
We have also continued supporting displaced families living at a refugee settlement in Kryvyi Rih, where our partner Iryna creates safe and welcoming spaces for children living in container housing. Through games, educational activities, and creative programmes, children can make friends, develop new skills, and experience a sense of belonging despite the disruption and uncertainty caused by war.
Meanwhile, our partner Little Lighthouse continues to provide specialised nutritional food for sick and vulnerable children in Ukraine. For families caring for children with complex health conditions, this support is essential, helping ensure children receive the nutrition they need to grow, develop, and stay healthy.
Children are paying a heavy price for this conflict. Yet thanks to your compassion, they are receiving not only practical assistance but also something equally important: the chance to feel safe, build friendships, enjoy childhood experiences, and look forward to the future with confidence.
Together, we are helping children and families overcome hardship, regain stability, and find renewed strength for the future.
Thank you for standing alongside them and making this work possible. Your support continues to bring comfort, opportunity, and hope to those who need it most.
With gratitude,
ChildAid to Eastern Europe
