With your support, PDRF ensures all technical specifications meet the community's long-term needs. The project team has also finalized building permits and site clearances with the local government unit and school authorities. The project has issued a Notice to Proceed to the awarded contractor, targeting a construction timeline of 8 to 10 weeks.
After several months of planning and coordination, construction of the Multipurpose Learning and Evacuation Facility began last May in Brgy. Biasong, Talisay City. The team visited the project site, where they met with the local government officials, school heads, and contractors.
PDRF President Butch Meily also visited the project site and met in person with the school principal and two teachers from Biasong Elementary School. He also observed and discussed the current status of the construction and met with the workers and site foreman.
Once construction is complete, a ceremonial turnover will mark the facility's official integration into the community’s disaster recovery and preparedness framework, strengthening its role in future response efforts.
