This project aims to rebuild a School of Second Chance in Casablanca, Morocco, after its demolition due to urban redevelopment. The school previously supported over 1,200 children, youth, and women facing social and economic vulnerability. Through this project, Tibu Africa will create alternative learning spaces to ensure continued access to education, inclusion, and empowerment for those most at risk of exclusion.
The School of Second Chance in the Old Medina of Casablanca was recently demolished due to urban redevelopment and structural safety risks. This school had supported over 1,200 vulnerable children, youth, and women who relied on it as their main access point to education, guidance, and social inclusion. Its closure has left these beneficiaries without nearby learning spaces and at high risk of exclusion.
This project will secure and equip temporary learning spaces and rebuild a new School of Second Chance in Casablanca. Our NGO will ensure continuity of education, training, and inclusion programs for children, youth, and women affected by the demolition. The project provides safe classrooms, community spaces, and educational resources to restore access to learning and support services.
By rebuilding a School of Second Chance, this project will restore long-term access to education and inclusion for more than 1,200 beneficiaries. Children will reconnect with learning, youth will gain skills and guidance, and women will access empowerment programs. The project prevents exclusion, preserves years of social impact, and strengthens community resilience in the Old Medina of Casablanca.
