Remote Area Medical is planning a return trip to Haiti this winter!
Millions of people in Haiti lack access to affordable healthcare, housing, education, and stable employment. Even more lack access to routine dental care, with very few dentists in the entire country and many individuals are left with few choices when it comes to accessing even the most basic of health and dental care. This lack of accessible treatment can lead to a lifetime of pain and suffering, and for many, this ultimately can lead to early death.
RAM has been partnering with God’s Planet for Haiti - a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Maryville, Tennessee and is also recognized in Haiti as an international nonprofit organization. Presently, there are around 100 students at the GP4H school in Hinche from ages 3 to 13, as well as teachers, a principal, a cook and janitor. RAM will be providing free medical and dental care to the students and families associated with GP4H and will also be holding three clinic days which are open to the public for dental and medical care! RAM’s flight will also carry down supplies for the Christmas shoe box gifts that all students at God's Planet for Haiti will receive.
We are looking forward to our return and to provide free medical and dental care to so many in need! Your support means the world to us and to the people of Haiti.
