Palestine is on the brink of famine. MoonPads has donated a pallet of pads to those in need in Gaza and has partnered with Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) to distribute the pads and raise funds for flour for Palestinian civilians who need them. Funds raised through this project will help pay for flour and the cost of the shipment of pads donated by MoonPads from China to Egypt where GEM will put the pallet and the flour on a food provisions truck for delivery to Palestinian civilians.
Palestinian civilians have limited access to food and other basic necessities, including menstrual supplies. Palestine is on the brink of famine due to recent events in the region, while period poverty is a serious issue for menstruating women and girls in Gaza who have limited--if any--access to menstrual pads or running water.
This project will pay for flour needed to feed Palestinians facing famine and for the costs associated with shipping the pallet of pads MoonPads has graciously donated from China to Egypt. By providing food and paying for the shipment of the donated menstrual supplies to Palestinian civilians in Gaza, this project will help alleviate food insecurity and reduce period poverty in the region.
The project will provide food and distribute the menstrual supplies donated by MoonPads to Palestinians allowing for the health and well-being of civilians currently facing famine and period poverty.
