The ABS-CBN Foundation conducted a series of disaster preparedness training aimed at strengthening community resilience and emergency response in vulnerable areas. In response to the impact of Typhoon Kristine in the Bicol Region in 2024, a Water Search and Rescue Training was implemented in Libon, Albay, engaging 50 participants from local government units, police, fire, and health offices to enhance flood rescue and emergency response capabilities.
In 2025, a total of seven trainings were carried out in Masantol, Pampanga; Pola, Oriental Mindoro; Lobo, Batangas; Libon, Albay; and Oas, Albay, reaching 413 participants. These sessions covered basic life support, first aid, firefighting, emergency response, camp coordination and management, and water search and rescue. These initiatives equipped local officials, uniformed services, health workers, and community volunteers with essential life-saving skills, contributing to safer, more resilient, and disaster-ready communities across the Philippines.
