The Philippines is ranked among the top five most disaster-prone countries in the world, placing its people at significant risk. The nation's geographic location makes it particularly susceptible to a range of natural calamities, including typhoons, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and floods. These frequent and often devastating events threaten lives, disrupt communities, and hamper economic development. The constant threat of disasters necessitates robust preparedness and resilient infrastructure, as well as comprehensive recovery plans to mitigate their impact. The vulnerability of the Filipino population underscores the urgent need for sustained efforts in disaster risk reduction and management to protect lives and livelihoods.
Through Sagip Kapamilya and through the help of supporters like you, in collaboration with the local government units, we conduct Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) training sessions tailored to high-risk areas and the disasters that LGUs typically weather.
Thank you for helping us building more prepared and resilient communities.
