Hi everyone.
This year has brought us more people wanting to plant trees! By now we are up to 45,000 trees and hope for many more. We are really happy because doña Luz, a woman who was our star Tree Planter of the Year is preparing her farm for 2,000 more trees and don Walter, has decided to keep on planting 6,500 more.
Our nursery has gone from falling down to going up again- an archeologist of the future will find ruined metal structures rebuilt with bamboo. The old plastic is holding up and today we put down new plastic on the roof. Its a hot day...but its a good one.
We also added a mulch drying space, because we hope to convert discarded wood into mulch and protect soils from drying out.
Check out the photos. Our growth and optimism is partly our own commitment to this cause and partly from your support thatt allows us to know we are not alone in our quest. Thank you on this bright, sunny day.
