Dear Friend,
On behalf of all our staff and patients, thank you for your generous giving to Partners In Health! We are so grateful for your partnership and your commitment to our mission.
Thanks to your support, Zanmi Lasante, as Partners In Health is known in Haiti, has been able to quickly set up equipment and personnel to help reduce the burden of cholera in its various sites.
Currently, there are five fully functional treatment sites in Mirebalais, Lascahobas, Belladère, Saint- Marc and Verrettes and 4 sites that are functional, but have unfinished rehabilitation work for cholera patients. These are in Boucan Carré, Cerca-La-Source, Thomonde and PRA for a total of nine treatment sites that are working to treat cholera. Our goal is to get all of our sites fully operational.
Cholera is still a problem and we still need your help. CDC cholera funding is ending, and the month of June 2023 recorded the highest number of patients since the beginning of this new cholera epidemic with 2,368 patients. ZL needs to strengthen community response with personnel, products, medicines, and materials. We have treated 13,816 cholera patients since the outbreak began in October 2022.
Your transformative gift could not have come at a more important time for PIH. Our community is in need of more care than ever. On behalf of our staff and patients in 11 countries worldwide, thank you for choosing to support Partners In Health!
In Solidarity,
Partners In Health
