This project will support 1000 flood survivor families to cope with the challenging circumstances of after-floods, by fulfilling their most urgent needs and to help them recover these hard times.
Pakistan's worst floods in 80 years have affected up to 20 million - More than 4 million are homeless having to migrate from their areas. Most are living in wretched conditions beside roads, on bridges, hills and streets. Many sleeping in the open with little food, no adequate clothing, no shelter and no clean water. There are fears of a second wave of deaths caused by water- and insect-borne diseases as well as from the lack of food and shelter at the time of changing weathers.
This project will support 1000 flood survivor families to cope with the challenging circumstances of after-floods, by fulfilling their most urgent needs and also support the poorest of poor in recovering their old livelihood and lifestyles.
1. The project will provide immediate water and sanitation facilities to flood victims 2. It will provide food and nonfood items to the flood victims in the camps 3. It will support in the immediate recovery of the flood victims in their villages
