When You Help Our Heroes...

By Jason Bryan | Project Leader, Mercy for Me

...you show exactly how much you appreciate the sacrifices they've made for our everyday freedoms. Each day we learn more and more about the struggles of the warrior serving in the U.S. Military.

Meet Israel.

Israel served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He went to Iraq in 2003 and was honorably discharged in 2005 and has been sick since his return home. He is completely disabled and has been given 2 ½ years to live according to his doctor who says, “I am certain that he will not see Christmas of his 35th year.” He has tried everything and the only thing left that could drastically change his quality of life and might prolong it is a hyperbaric chamber. Israel’s wife and family were able to raise most of the money for the chamber but fell short by $1,160. With your help, Mercy for Me was able to provide the remaining amount needed. Israel is still alive and in his home today.

No one can be certain exactly how long Israel will be with us, but the gift you've given him and his family is something that they will never forget. Our donors are a blessing to our soldiers. Thank you for all you do for our heroes and never stop thanking our heroes for all that they do for us!
