Dear Friends and Well-wishers,

May we first take this opportunity to wish You and Your Family and Loved Ones our Warmest Wishes for the New Year. We hope that it will be filled with Peace, Happiness, Good Health and Success.

Every New Year brings opportunities and challenges all of which we take pride in dealing with in the that we have become accustomed to.

With the start of the academic year, there is a huge demand for resources as the Children and Young Adults go back to school, colleges and universities. Many have gone up a year and some have moved from primary to secondary school and others to institutions of higher learning. That notwithstanding, we still strive, with your kind assistance, to ensure that every child has the best possible education to give them an upper hand in the search for a better life.

Here an update on some of the children/youngsters:

The youngest cohort of Children, William, Shamas and Kevin have stared at Kindergarten. It is always a heart warming experience to see how much excitement is generated in these little children at the prospect of going to school and being like everyone else. They are always the first to awake every morning and first to sit in the bus dressed and ready to go to school!

Gloria, one of the beneficiaries of our educational program completed primary school in November 2015 with very good marks. We are  happy and proud she has been  accepted at Lugulu Secondary School in the Western part of Kenya. Lugulu is one of the top schools in Kenya in terms of exam results. She is in the right place to help her begin the journey to achieving her dream.

Yona, who has been at the Children's Home since he was a few days old,  has started his second year at the Mombasa Technical Training Institute (MTTI) studying for a diploma in Tourism Operations and Guiding.

He had the opportunity to work as an intern for two months at Kokkos, the new and most popular Coffee Bar and Restaurant in Diani. According to the Owner, Yona has grasped the areas that he was assigned to so fast that he was no longer considered an intern, and was given the sorts of responsibilities that full time employees were given. There is great promise for this young man in the field he has chosen.

Angelina, has finished her study at the Nagenda International Academy of Art and Design in Uganda. Her work is simply amazing, and she has developed a real focus on starting her own design business. Her work is simply beautiful and there is no doubt that she will have success in her design business. For now, she is doing an internship while she organizes her business plans. Angelina has been at the Home since she was 7 years old.

With your kind donations we are able to help many more children to attend school, college and university.

Education is the best gift we can give young children and teenagers to be able to work towards an independent and successful future.

We would like to thank you very much for your fantastic support.
