The project will assist 20 orphans from South Ukraine to find a new families by producing short and qualitative video profiles about them. The videos transmit an objective and comprehensive view of the child. The profiles would be promoted through social medias, mass media and the adoption communities in order to speed up the search in finding a family for these children. Your donation would change the lives of 20 orphans and would fill 20 homes with joy, love and happiness.
There are about 2,000 orphans in South Ukraine and about 7,000 over Ukraine left without love. The reality is that social services do not fulfill the search of new family for them, it's made only by the initiative of parents. And not so many families decide to take in the orphans. The main reasons are viewable negative medical diagnoses and lack of full information about kids in state database: bad photo and few words. The project covers orphans of South Ukraine. We assist children left without parent's care to find a family by making their video profiles. These short films shows children as they really are: with their talents, joy and hopes. Real children are much more than just few words and a photo in state database. Videos help orphans to find a way to their new home quicker. We maintain the database of such videos on our website and promoting them in social media, mass media and adopters communities.
Family placement for orphans makes them more socially adapted and lessens the possibility that their children would become social orphans too. And, video profiles open the doors of the orphanages to society at large to help overcome the negative myths that these children to be fundamentally disadvantaged. Videos change the attitude about adoption in society and involve new people into it.
