Summary

This project helps neonatal departments of NICU of Central Regional Hospital of Talgar in Almaty region. This hospital is one of the key medical instituations that help care for preemies and newborns with health issues in the entire region. This neonatal department also cares about newborns and preemies born at 22-23 weeks (+6 days). We hope to raise enough funds in this project in order to buy medical equipment for the hospital&training NICU personnel to use it properly to provide better care.

Challenge

The main problem is that the Maternity Hospital of the Central District Hospital of the Talgar District is in dire need of a medical equipment for newborns at the NICU in neonatal departments. They currently do not have enough equipment to properly care for the rising number of premature newborns and their mothers.

Solution

This project will help the hospital purchase the most necessary C-PAP breathing system, hyper-hypothermic devices, newborn incubators with a built in breathing ventilation system, cardiomonitors, neuro-audio screens, cabinets with laminar air flow, mobile anesthesia units, hysteroscope, plasmaphoresis, transformable obstetric beds, electric operating tables, ultra sound machines, anesthesia breathing apparatus and fetal monitors.

Long-Term Impact

This project of providing the neonatal department of a rural hospital with equipment can have a positive impact on the health of newborns and the quality of medical services. The equipment will improve diagnostic accuracy, treatment conditions. It will also allow the hospital to train more health workers, admit more patients & provide them with better services, which will reduce infant mortality and improve overall public health. This hospital cares for difficult birth cases all over the region.
