More young people are joining training workshops to recognize and mitigate the main risks of school dropout they face gender violence, teenage pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, and Covid-19, as well as promote their mental / emotional health and healthy lifestyles.
More than 70 Students from schools in Tulancingo and Cuautepec (Hidalgo state) are training fully online to expand their knowledge of these topics, but also to gain skills in replication activities and to be able to amplify these key prevention messages among their peers.
This 100% virtual learning strategy has required the adaptation and creation of interactive teaching materials, but it is also using tools such as applications and social networks to be closer to the elements that young people use to express themselves and to connect with others.
Although this initiative is focused on young people and on the creation of preventive behaviours among them, in parallel awareness-raising activities are carried out with parents to generate support networks and information about the replica activities that their sons and daughters will eventually develop in the community.
By 2022, with your help, we will expand actions in more schools in the state of Hidalgo to reach a 180 young people directly.
