Preparing teachers for action

By Thais Malave | Operations Director

This program is aimed at preschool and elementary school teachers to share topics related to healthy living, civic education and ethics from a gender perspective that facilitates the transmission of knowledge to girls and boys alike.

Through the implementation of the program in schools in the state of Chihuahua, Tlaxcala and the state of Mexico, 46 teachers have been trained and 133 parents have participated to emphasize the importance of limits in the family and share measures for a safe (after Covid-19 pandemic)  return to school.

The training has been characterized by the use of information and communication technologies at a distance and the development of infographics and graphic material to compensate for the poor connectivity of some of the participants.

For the next school year, starting in August, we will reach 4 more schools.

"I take with me the reflection and knowledge of emotions, as well as understanding the reason for my reactions and from this knowledge try to manage my emotions in an assertive way and not avoid them but accept and manage them."  30-year-old teacher from Huamantla, Tlaxcala.

"It has helped me to calm down and realize that sadly the pandemic will last for a long time and life will not return to how we lived it before, to teach our children to live this new life. Teach them prevention measures”. 28-year-old mother from Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua.
