Frequently, people with intellectual disability are isolated from society as a result a misconception that they are not productive. Consequently, support systems that further develop and maximize their skills and talents are inaccessible. Without a meaningful activity or occupation, these individuals struggle to find a sense of worth and may experience disconnectedness or a sense of meaninglessness. This is a violation of human rights, as everybody should lead plentiful and meaningful lives.

This project provides a support system to empower individuals with intellectual disability to fully maximize their potential. Based on their abilities and interests, they will chose between: entrepreneurial, artistic and sports skills. By preparing and selling concrete sculptures, individuals will develop entrepreneurial skills. Individuals developing artistic skills will participate in arts workshops. Individuals developing sports skills will train and even compete in special olympic games.

Long-Term Impact

This project will support over 30 individuals with intellectual disability by developing and fostering skills that will allow them to integrate productively in society while empowering and strengthening their self worth.
