We always look forward to hearing from the children in the care of the Mothers' Union about their travels in Switzerland. Every trip to the doctors in this country is full of anticipation and hope for us, as well as for the relatives of the little patients affected by cancer.
And although not all trips are equally successful, each one reminds us once again how strong the courage of the little ones is and how much love and care can do, which accompany children at every step.
We share a letter from Adomelis's mother from his 11th trip to the Swiss clinic:
"Switzerland did not pamper us this time, it was cold, windy and grey. But Adomelis did not care. On the train, he immediately discovered the children's area and was naughty the whole way. It was our little refreshment after a long flight.
We arrived at the clinic early in the morning and waited there until lunch. Unfortunately, the check-up with anesthesia could not be performed this time. Adomelis currently has a cold, a runny nose and a cough, which poses too high a risk for anesthesia.
The doctors tried to find a way out and tried to take a picture of his eyes without anesthesia, but that also failed. Adomelis was very scared of the machine, which emitted a green light while taking pictures, and the doctor's remote control with a cable that touched his head. So we are returning home without the results of this trip. We will repeat the visit in a few weeks.
We know that this sometimes happens. But waiting without It's not easy to find answers, especially when you were already in the mood and ready. The gray weather and slow days at the accommodation only reinforced that feeling.
Thank you to everyone who is there and supports us even on days when we return empty-handed."
We wish Adomelis good health and a speedy recovery, a lot of patience to the family and we send a huge hug of warmth to everyone.

We always wait with bated breath for news from children under the care of the Mothers' Union who are being treated in Swiss clinics.
The twelfth trip of the Adomelis family to Switzerland is a path that has become familiar over time, but not at all easier. Waiting, anxiety, moments of joy upon receiving good news... All this strengthens and allows us to move forward. Step by step.
We share a letter from Adam's mother:
"The weather in Switzerland has really spoiled us this time. Warmth, sun, everywhere green and beautiful. We always stop for a moment to look at the mountain peaks and each time the view is as calming as the first time.
This visit has a long history. We arrived in Switzerland almost a month ago, but Adam was sick and the doctors, after examining and assessing his condition, decided not to do a check-up. When we returned home, the stroller disappeared, which we still don't have. The next flight also didn't take place because of the airlines, so the visit was postponed for another week. When we finally managed to fly out, we had to wait for our luggage in Switzerland for more than two hours, because the suitcase arrived on another plane. Our second stroller, which we took in place of the lost one, only reached us when we were already on our way home. The entire time in Switzerland, we drove in a spare one lent by the airport and we were glad that they gave it to us, because without it it would have been very difficult. difficult. Adomelis felt tired, but on the plane he came to life, he did not miss the opportunity to play around and make the passengers sitting next to him laugh a little.
We were the first ones invited to the operating room, we did not have to wait long. The man did not even have time to pour half a cup of coffee when he was invited to the room for a conversation. After anesthesia, Adomelis behaved well in intensive care. When he returned to the ward, he became restless, but after falling asleep he calmed down, and when he woke up he was completely himself, cheerful and full of energy.
The news is very good. Everything is stable, the tumors are inactive. Every time we hear this, we breathe a sigh of relief. And every time that moment of relief is just as precious.
We thank everyone who is by our side and supports us on this path. Your support allows us to move forward.”
We are happy that with all of your help we can help children with eye cancer travel to a Swiss clinic, where this serious disease is treated. Together we can do more.
