2013 is upon us already. How did that happen? Last year flew by, a whirlwind of activity, change and impact for PIP. October's working farm trip was an amazing success. 13 disabled adults were supported by 4 staff to work the farm for 5 days, including looking after the chickens (and chicks!), feeding pigs, horses, & sheep, and picking apples. A day trip to nearly Bath offered the chance for our students to attend the local hot springs-a fantastic first for all! In all, the trip offered our disabled service users fantastic respite from their life and lots of new experiences.
Later in October, PIP's inaugural Mountain Bike Challenge was a fantastic success, raising more than £8,000. 25 riders rode 18 miles through mud, remote trails and wonderful countryside, topped off my an amazing BBQ provided by a local farm.
Lots of fantastic activities planned for 2013-the PIP Theatre Company is performing its original work 'Mystery of the Red Hat' in March, and we'll be continuing the early success of our market stall project, by selling art and produce made and created by our disabled adults.
Lasty, but certainly not least-our GG project page has nearly reached our donation target of £3500!
We're ever so close, and would love to reach our target by end of January '13. Please support us to help
disabled adults achieve their potential. We're looking forward to a fantastic year ahead, and with your support
our disabled adults will make great strides towards integrating into their local communities!
