Across Latin America, small business owners are hearing about AI everywhere, but many still have no clear way to use it in their own businesses. The Trust for the Americas, an OAS affiliate working for social and economic inclusion since 1997, is helping entrepreneurs take the first practical step. Today, your donation is matched.
Across Latin America and the Caribbean, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises make up more than 98% of all businesses, yet many remain excluded from the digital economy. According to ECLAC, 70% of MSMEs in the region do not have an online presence, and many businesses that use the internet remain passive users rather than using digital tools for sales, operations, or growth. Small business owners without tech teams, consultants, or extra capital risk falling further behind.
We will provide a hands-on AI advisory support to 100 small business owners in Latin America, starting from DR, at a critical moment, as AI is quickly becoming part of how businesses sell, manage operations, and compete. Each entrepreneur will receive a business diagnosis, a practical roadmap with AI tools they can realistically adopt, and follow-up support to help them implement those tools. A donation now helps entrepreneurs move from confusion to action before the AI gap becomes another ba
By getting these 100 entrepreneurs AI-ready, they will learn how to use AI before it leaves them behind and takes away the economic opportunity they have found. With practical support, entrepreneurs can save time, reduce costs, reach new customers, and make better decisions for their families and communities. The impact does not stop with one business. Stronger small businesses can protect jobs, create income, and help local economies adapt to a rapidly changing digital world.
