Summary

In rural Kenya, many girls drop out of school simply because they lack basics like menstrual products and uniforms. This project will provide reusable pads, uniforms, stationery, and bags to help them stay in school. By removing these barriers, we will empower girls to succeed academically and break the cycle of poverty, creating lasting change for themselves, their families, and future generations.

Challenge

In rural Kenya, countless girls are forced to drop out of school annually due to a lack of basic school necessities. Most come from low-income families that cannot afford essential items like sanitary pads, school uniforms, and books. Without access to supplies and proper menstrual hygiene products, girls miss school. These frequent absences disrupt their education and increase the risk of early school dropouts, perpetuating the cycles of poverty and dependency.

Solution

OLCAP is committed to removing the barriers that keep girls out of the classroom. This project will provide reusable sanitary pads, school uniforms, stationery, and school bags, to girls in rural Kenya. By ensuring they stay in school and thrive academically, this initiative will help build a brighter future for both the girls and their communities. When you invest in a girl's education, you're changing her future, empowering her to break the cycle of poverty and uplift her entire community.

Long-Term Impact

When girls stay in school and succeed, they gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to break the cycle of poverty and build independent, empowered lives. This creates a ripple effect, leading to better job opportunities, higher earnings, and healthier futures for themselves and their families. Educated women are also more likely to invest in their children's education, multiplying the impact. By supporting this initiative, you're not just changing one life, you're shaping future generations.
