When Liz fled Germany with her son Dillon to escape abuse from her husband she was terrified he was going to come after her or force her to legally return Dillon to Germany. Within a few months of moving from the USA to Germany, her husband went from being moody, to threatening to hit Liz. Then one night he did hit her and threatened to hurt Dillon. Liz ran the next day, got on a plane and flew home to her parents house.
They had lived in Germany for nine months when Liz returned home. Because of donations like yours, we were able to find an international family law attorney for Liz. The attorney agreed to represent Liz and help ensure that her husband would not be successful in forcing Liz to return Dillon to Germany.
