Help Action for Hope gives access to education to 200 out-of-school orphans and abandoned children in Yaounde, Cameroon, who can't afford to attend school due to extreme poverty. Your donation will help provide tuition, books, and school supplies. They also need food and healthcare to save them from malnutrition and untreated diseases that have a devastating effect on their ability to develop, learn, and attend school. Together we will build a brighter future for these hopeless children.
A growing number of children in Cameroon are living in extreme poverty, many suffering and dying from chronic malnutrition and treatable diseases. Often they don't attend school and are homeless. Most are victims to abuses such as child labor and sex trafficking. Under-age girls are often forced into child marriages. If poor children do not complete school their future economic success and potential employability will be limited, leading to poverty as an adult.
We have identified kind-hearted women with limited resources who are already caring for the orphans and other children. They report to us about the immediate basic health and educational needs of the children. We will provide them with school related resources such as school tuition and fees, supplies, transportation, uniforms and shoes. We will address the kids' basic survival needs by supplying adequate food, funding access to safe water and sanitation systems, and paying for regular meals.
Action for Hope's healthcare and educational support for poor children will help them complete their education, enter the workforce, and ultimately lift themselves and their families out of poverty. Our efforts aim to help make the children agents of positive change in their communities, improve the country's economy, and close the education gap between genders.
