Strategic Information Briefs will provide analysis of emerging and relevant political, economic, and social issues to high-level leaders in the government through two reports per month, for a year. Topics will be determined based on current events and can include: new laws, parliamentary activities, economic developments and public opinion trends. This initiative will increase mutual understanding between the sides, which will increase support for a just resoltuion to the conflict.
For almost twenty years, there has been a gradual decrease in contact between the Israeli and Palestinian societies. In the last few years the deterioration of relations has intensified. The low level of contact among and between the interested parties feeds to a cycle of increased distrust, and generates stereotypes and demonization of the other. This affects Israeli and Palestinian decision-makers when formulating their policy on issues connected to conflict.
IPCRI will provide a type of information currently difficult to access, and result in better-informed decision- making processes and improved understanding towards each other and particularly focus on issues for resolving the conflict in a just manner for both parties.
These briefs will contribute to increased mutual understanding between Israelis and Palestinians, leading to a more supportive environment for peace negotiations.
