Hello Friends,
Hope you had a great Labor Day weekend. This day honors the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity and well-being of the country.
In India child labor is a complex issue and we have taken the initiative to find a better solution. We are moving forward to provide special classes of respective grades to the youth and also we are focusing to teach sewing skills to make them self-sustained.
In last two reports I highlighted the turning point story of Sabita and how we changed Nelan’s life. Both of them are doing great in developing their skills and learning in school. They are grateful to SANTI as they were provided a great platform to be successful.
We are making sure that they improve their sewing skills. They have proven that the local people like their product but I would say there is room for improvement. We are sharpening their skills in such a way that in future they can start their own shop or a venue. None the less now they are earning about INR 5000 per month by sewing work through SANTI.
We have two challenges –
Please cheer up to celebrate the success of Nelan and Sabita and come forward to donate so that we can bring more success stories to you.
It is possible just because of you.
Thanks
Ashok
