Help Indian Girl Not Work But Go To School

Dear friends

Sabita belongs to the poor section of the Rajgangpur, her father works as a security guard earning Rs. 5000 per month but he wastes most of them by drinking alcohol. Her mom is a housewife and looks after her four children. Life became challenging and tough for Sabita when she was studying in 12^th grade. She started working as a maid in nearby homes, when Mr. Sarat Pati came to know about her. As she was hard working and interested to learn, we enrolled her in SANTI Sewing course funded by your support. That was the turning point of her life, she became very interested in sewing and currently we can say she is one of our best.  

Recently, Sabita led the effort to sell blouses at Rajgangpur Jharjhara Mahotsav (Festival). Together with 6 other youths of SANTI, Sabita was able to sell more than 100 blouses. Currently she is able to take home about Rs. 5000 per month. With huge support from SANTI she feels secured and recently completed 12^th grade in Arts with second division. This is a major accomplishment for her as before SANTI she was about to give up. We wish her to achieve better success in future and will encourage her to study further.
