U-turn's work of helping people overcome homelessness continues in Cape Town and Johannesburg. In April 2026 we crossed more than 2000 unique beneficiaries served for the year, with more than 100,000 services ranging from basic needs, rehab, accommodation, therapy and work-readiness training.
Preparations are being made at our Wynberg Homeless Service Centre to bring a Mobile Wash-bus facility to the site so that our clients can enjoy a warm showers.
Our Homeless Service Centee in Linden Johannesburg has a new premises at Roosevelt Park Baptist Church. We are very grateful for this partnership as we have been operating our services from a local park since complications on our original site emerged. The church facility is far more suitable for us to build trust with our clients and encourage them to take their first steps off the street.
The work is not always easy but we are encouraged by the remarkable strength and resilience of our clients and ever-encouraged by our supporters that invest belief and funding into turning around the lives of people living on the streets.
