By Jen Burnham | Programme Manager
Thanks to the generosity of the Asthana family and other donors on Global Giving, we are installing a new computer with wide screen monitor and CS6 graphic design programme at St Mungo’s training centre in South London where we are due to move to early in 2014.
Our volunteer designer will now be training residents of St Mungo’s to use the technology in producing Homeless Diamonds magazine and creating the magazine for an online platform. This has career potential for some students through their work on the magazine.
Homeless Diamonds is an arts magazine published three times a year by people living or working in St Mungo's hostels in London. St Mungo's began helping people sleeping rough off the streets in 1969. Now we are one of Britain's largest charities supporting people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We believe people can - and do - recover from the issues that create homelessness.
