Nagpur is one of the districts in Maharashtra with a high prevalence of HIV and the numbers of HIV Positive individuals detected are increasing day by day from the general community, Clients and partners of FSWs and amongst youth. Yet a large population is undetected as they maybe in the window period or may not have undergone HIV testing. HIV positivity rate of Nagpur District is 2% of HRGs and ANC prevalence rate is 0.24 %. (As per DAPCU Data)
Reach out of HRGs & Vulnerable men & women in Urban & rural areas with information, knowledge, skills, on STI/HIV prevention and risk reduction. Objectives- The scheme aims at building a rural community model to address the complex needs of rural HIV prevention, care and support requirements in selected geographies.
