The project aims to will provide 10,000 eco-friendly reusable menstrual kits to 10,000 girls in Korogwe district in Tanzania to ensure access to sustainable menstrual cups and pads,so that young girls can go to school and keep on their studies, in stability manners to avoid staining clothes which causes discomfort during their studies. This will help them to avoid missing average of five studying days in schools, which will help to boost their school performance, safe menstrual.
Problems of managing the menstrual cycle safely, hygienically, and with dignity to girls who are living in low income families. In Tanzania in 4 girls in 1 girl is struggling affordability of period needs materials.These challenges can lead to poor menstrual health associated with frustration and discomfort leading to psychosocial implications for women and girls including social exclusion and vulnerability also leading to poor performance to girls school
In our Korogwe district girls can be provided with menstrual products helping them to menstruate with comfortability and dignity when they have access to safe menstrual hygienic products. The support to this project will provide girls with quality and washable sanitary pads and providing them with safe reproductive health education, hygiene and safe products for good managing menstrual cycle to girls
The long term impacts includes helping girls in schools to attend their studies in schools to avoid missing critical studying sessions each month for the betterment of their future, helping women and girls to actively engaging them selves in economic activities with confidence especially during their menstrual period to ensure breaking cycle of poverty. Reproductive health education to Korogwe District communities and empowering them to discuss and provide feminine hygiene and sanitation.
