The Holistic Development of Girls (HDG) program, implemented by Grandmother Project – Change through Culture in southern Senegal, demonstrates that young girls become stronger leaders when they are supported by women across generations — especially mothers and grandmothers.

By valuing the knowledge and leadership of grandmothers and strengthening relationships among generations, communities can help girls become confident, educated, and respected leaders for the future.
