Empower Children through Heritage Education

During this reporting period, the National Trust of Georgia continued expanding opportunities for children to engage with cultural heritage through creative and hands-on learning experiences.

Children participated in heritage-themed puppet theatre performances, educational workshops, traditional music activities, and community events. Nearly 200 schoolchildren visited the National Trust of Georgia for educational programmes, while children in regional communities took part in interactive activities connected to local heritage and traditions.

A major milestone of the period was the closing exhibition of Workshop Tuta, where students presented artworks inspired by Georgian cultural heritage, including traditional crafts, manuscripts, ceramics, and mural painting. We also continued supporting heritage education through the Folklore House, where children learned traditional songs and musical instruments.

In addition, we hosted community-based activities such as an open mosaic workshop for children from the historic Metekhi neighbourhood and a cultural event celebrating Tushetian heritage, which featured performances by children and youth folk ensembles.

These activities helped children develop creativity, confidence, and a stronger connection to Georgia’s cultural heritage. We are encouraged by the growing interest among young participants and remain committed to making heritage education accessible, engaging, and meaningful for children across Georgia.
