FUSA is deeply committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and adolescents facing sexual abuse and providing comprehensive health care access. Our interdisciplinary team, including social workers, psychologists, gynecologists, pediatricians, and legal experts, is committed to combatting sexual abuse through specialized care, community awareness, and advocacy for crucial legal and social reforms to protect children and adolescents
Sexual abuse has devastating consequences for the overall health of individuals who experience it, as well as for human dignity. Abuse is under-diagnosed, under-detected, under-recognized. Argentina has no healthcare spaces specifically addressing this issue, capable of providing timely, continuous, and high-quality assistance to victims, along with legal advice to protective family members. Furthurmore, for every 1000 abuses committed, 100 reports are made, and only 1 results in a conviction.
We offer: -Comprehensive assistance to victims, led by an interdisciplinary team (social workers, psychologists, gynecologists, pediatricians). We provide medical assistance, support and containment for victims. -Training initiatives aimed at healthcare and education professionals -Group therapies focused on trauma processing and victim recovery -Community awareness campaigns through social media -Counseling for protective family members.
By providing children and adolescents with comprehensive, quality healthcare services and timely assistance, it ignites the journey towards empowerment. This starts the healing process and equips them with the resources needed to navigate the justice system and reclaim their rights effectively. By increasing access to health support services and empowering individuals to address sexual abuse, the project fosters a societal shift towards heightened awareness, prevention, and advocacy efforts.
