Summary

WE'VE ALREADY LIFTED 750,000+ PEOPLE OUT OF POVERTY IN AFRICA. Now, help us repeat our success in Rwanda! About 80% of Rwandans are subsistence farmers caught in the cycle of poverty only because they lack suitable seeds & basic farming know-how. We change that! Providing climate-resilient seeds & practical on-farm training, we enable farmers to increase yields & change their family's future - in just ONE YEAR. Bigger harvests mean food security, better health & education for their children.

Challenge

Subsistence (or small-holder) farmers make up the vast majority of sub-Saharan African populations. These people-some of the poorest in the world-are caught in the endless cycle of poverty. They have land and water, but their yields barely support their families-all because they lack quality seeds suited to the local climate and the basic farming skills to grow them.

Solution

Our scientifically tested crop varieties are ones most suited to local conditions - and produce x2, x4, even x7 higher yields. We provide these quality seeds to key farmers and visit them on their farms, teaching them the basics of good farming. As a result, their fields produce much greater yields, often doubling their annual income in just One Year - empowering their families to escape the prison of poverty.

Long-Term Impact

When other villagers see the life-changing results of our key farmers - whether in the fields or in the marketplace - they quickly adopt our system. This knock-on effect has already released 750,000 people from poverty - delivering long-term sustainable economic growth for families, improving their nutrition & health, empowering women, & raising rates of children at school from 50% to over 90%! Now we're ready to scale up to change the lives of 7.5 million more.
