Urgent Medical Care for Brick-Kiln Families in Kasur
During this reporting period, the project received no online donations. Despite this financial constraint, Good Thinkers Organization (GTO-Pakistan) mobilized local residents, medical professionals and community resources to provide urgently needed healthcare services to vulnerable families working in the brick-kiln industry.
Through this self-help initiative, 143 people, particularly women, received free medical consultations, essential medicines and ultrasound services in Kasur. Women working at brick kilns often have limited access to affordable gynaecological care due to poverty, long working hours and restricted mobility. This medical activity enabled them to discuss their health concerns, undergo necessary examinations and receive appropriate guidance and treatment.
The initiative demonstrates how local solidarity can bring meaningful support to underserved communities, even when formal funding is unavailable. With donor support, GTO-Pakistan hopes to organize regular medical camps and extend essential healthcare services to many more brick-kiln workers and their families.
