We’re hard at work getting ready for the rainy season! It’s already raining most afternoons, and in June the rains will intensify and families living on the riverbanks will start nervously watching the river.
We need funds so that we can take action now to reduce the impacts of the floods that are on their way. With your support, we’ll stockpile food and other essential supplies for families like Mae’s. Two-year-old Mae lives in a one room house on the river bank made of tin and plywood. Her home has already been destroyed twice since 2009. She needs you help to ensure she’s safe during floods! https://www.globalgiving.org/microprojects/keep-mae-safe-during-floods/
Today, we have a new partner in disaster preparedness – GlobalGiving! Today only, GlobalGiving is matching your donations by 50%! That means that when you give $10, we’ll be able to provide 15 hot meals to survivors like Mae during a flood instead of 10. Please give what you can today and share this great opportunity with friends and family!
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
