Donations Make a Difference!

By Peggy Carlson | Program Director

Haitian Cuniculture Event!
Haitian Cuniculture Event!

The Feeding Families project continues to make a difference in rural Haiti, thanks to your support. Some recent purchases with donated funds include:

  • 10 watering cans
  • 4 backpack sprayers for the vegetable project
  • 2 rolls of rabbit cage wire
  • 49 water nipples for rabbit cages
  • training workshop on rabbit cage construction

Funds were also used to bring rabbit producers from the project to the first Haitian Cuniculture Event, where they received training on a variety of topics and they were able to interact and share experiences with producers from other parts of Haiti. More importantly, with the assistance of Makouti Agro Enterprise, producers joined together in a more formal network so they can sell rabbits as a group. This will allow them to tap into new markets that need a higher quantity of rabbits and/or a regular supply of rabbits, which can be hard for an individual producer.

The accomplishments and progress to date on the Feeding Families project is due to the generous support of donors like you. We thank you again for your assistance with this important activity!
