Throughout June, Mission Kharkiv continued to support cancer patients across Ukraine by helping ensure uninterrupted access to essential oncology medicines. While the challenges facing the healthcare system remain significant, timely access to treatment continues to make a meaningful difference for people living with cancer.
During this reporting period, 1,192 units of oncology medicines were distributed through the Ukraine Cancer Relief program. Of these, 90 units were supplied to healthcare institutions to strengthen local treatment capacity, while 1,102 units were provided directly to patients, helping them continue their treatment without interruption.
In total, 153 patients received support through the program, including 78 women and 75 men. Altogether, our team carried out 275 medicine distributions, ensuring that patients could access the medications they needed despite the ongoing challenges created by the war.
Distribution took place across several regions of Ukraine:
These figures reflect more than logistics-they represent continuity of care for people whose treatment cannot wait. Every successful delivery helps reduce the risk of treatment interruptions, giving patients greater confidence that they can continue following their prescribed therapy.
As the war continues to place enormous pressure on Ukraine's healthcare system, organizations like Mission Kharkiv remain committed to bridging critical gaps in access to life-saving medicines. Close cooperation with healthcare facilities, efficient logistics, and the generosity of our supporters allow us to respond where help is needed most.
To everyone who has chosen to support Ukraine Cancer Relief through GlobalGiving-thank you. Your generosity helps ensure that cancer patients can focus on their recovery rather than worrying about whether their next treatment will be available. Every donation contributes to continuity of care, renewed hope, and the chance for patients to keep moving forward.
