This project provides a comprehensive approach to supporting cancer patients in Ukraine. Along with life-saving treatment and mental health group therapy, we offer evacuation support, medication aid, and cold-chain storage for chemotherapy medicines. We also focus on cancer data collection, raising awareness, precision medicine, and training oncologists. By addressing both immediate and long-term needs, we ensure patients in the midst of conflict receive essential care and emotional support.
The war in Ukraine has severely impacted cancer patients, limiting their access to life-saving treatments, medications, and mental health support. Vital infrastructure, including hospitals and storage facilities for chemotherapy drugs, has been damaged.
This project will provide chemotherapy medications to patients and set up cold-chain storage to ensure safe handling. We also provide mental health group therapy and support sessions for, addressing both their medical and emotional needs. By training oncologists and offering precision medicine techniques, we ensure patients receive necessary care amid the ongoing war.
Building on Mission Kharkiv's track record of providing aid to over 60,000 people, including more than 2,000 cancer patients, the project will deliver chemotherapy, establish secure medication storage, and offer mental health support. By ensuring access to critical care and training oncologists, we will improve survival rates and quality of life for thousands, while strengthening Ukraine's healthcare system for the future.
