This project will open school canteens in Goma, North Kivu, to provide hot, nutritious meals to children affected by war, hunger, and displacement. By feeding students at school, we fight child hunger, improve education, and restore hope to young lives shattered by conflict.
North Kivu is suffering from a humanitarian crisis. Years of armed conflict have left families without income or stable homes. Children are going to school hungry or not going at all. Food insecurity affects nearly every household, and vulnerable students in Goma are among the hardest hit.
We will launch school canteens in public primary schools in Goma using local food and volunteers. Each child will receive one nutritious meal per day, improving concentration, school attendance, and well-being. Our model also supports local food suppliers and brings dignity back to education.
Well-fed children learn better, stay in school longer, and grow into productive adults. This project not only fights immediate hunger but breaks cycles of poverty by promoting education, stability, and long-term community resilience. Investing in one meal is investing in a future.
