Warm Clothes Distribution
FSI Nepal is has been involved since 2012 in the food and nutrition security sector however, health, education, livelihood, environment, agriculture are interlinked sectors that needs to address for food security. This year 2018, is among the coldest winter as the temperature is less than 1o C resulting school children suffered from cold and flu. Thus, the organization organized “Warm clothes distribution program” as a welfare program.
56 school kids including 30 girls and 26 boys studying in Taudaha Secondary school were benefited through receiving winter school uniform (woolen sweater, cap, socks and gloves). The children belong to low economic background and their parents could not afford for warm clothes to their kids. This activity is successful in making these children feel warm and concentrate in their studies in this chilly winter which is a big step forward for the school children who used to go to school without proper warm clothes. The teacher of this school reported that now the benefited children are found regular in school. In addition, the parents also feel very happy from getting this small gift to their kids from our organization and this is only possible through your big support. My organization is always thankful to entire generous contributors connected with Global giving and from other source.
