When Ade felt sudden, unbearable pain, he learned too late that kidney stones can be prevented. Many people lack basic information on hydration, diet, and early warning signs. This project will educate communities on kidney stone prevention, helping families avoid pain, lost income, and costly hospital visits through simple, life-saving habits.
Kidney stones cause severe pain and frequent hospital visits, yet prevention knowledge is limited. Dehydration, poor diet, and lack of awareness increase risk, especially in hot climates and low-income communities. Many people only seek care during emergencies, when treatment is expensive and productivity is lost.
This project will deliver community education on kidney stone prevention through workshops, simple guides, and local outreach. This project will promote hydration, balanced diets, early symptom recognition, and timely care. Trained health educators will reach families with practical, culturally appropriate prevention tips
Our goal is fewer kidney stone cases and healthier communities. With sustained awareness, people adopt preventive habits, reduce medical emergencies, and save healthcare costs. Over time, this project will improve quality of life, productivity, and long-term kidney health for vulnerable populations
