The Afghan Institute of Learning’s Pre-School Education Program (PEP) is very busy working with young children to introduce them to the classroom setting and a variety of subjects. They are taught beginning skills in Arabic, Dari, English, Math, and Health. Upon completion of the PEP program, the children have learned to recognize letters of the alphabet, numbers, and colors. The teachers use stories, drawing, pasting, cutting, coloring and music in their curriculum. Within the last few months, seven additional teachers were hired for PEP.
